One day Crown Prince Frederik will succeed his mother on the Danish throne. But the idea doesn’t scare him.
"The responses I receive from people wherever I go simply cannot be bought for all the gold in the world. Danes are peaceful people with a generally positive attitude. This makes it easy for me to come in contact with them, and to chat to those around me. I try to be motivating and to listen, and I make a real effort to communicates my own messages accurately. My ambition is to become an inspiring leader."

Over the last few years Crown Prince Frederik has created his own individual and personal style, as the latest in a long line of Danish monarchs and heirs to the throne.

"Many say that I am like my maternal grandfather, King Frederik IX. Sadly I cannot remember him myself, but I am very pleased to be compared favourably with him, because he was known to be an attentive, kind and down-to-earth person, a very popular ‘man of the people’," says the Crown Prince.
